About Me

Hi, I’m Kate!

My experience as a teacher in Kansas City revealed my true passion: fostering social and emotional learning over traditional academics. This realization guided me towards pursuing a career in Marriage and Family Therapy, where I earned my Master of Science degree from Friends University.

I am dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized therapy for individuals, couples, and families of all ages.  I believe deeply in the intrinsic value of every individual and incorporate attachment-based practices to support healing and growth.

My practice is grounded in creating a safe and nurturing environment where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. I am committed to a holistic, client-centered approach, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of every individual, fostering authentic connections, and promoting overall well-being.

I know finding a therapist can be a difficult and time consuming process. If you would like to schedule a FREE, 15-minute consultation call to see if I am the right fit for your therapeutic process, please reach out to me via email kate@authenticconnectionkc.com

Areas of Passion

I specialize in working with individuals who face unique challenges, often feeling the weight of perfectionism, high expectations, and caregiving responsibilities. Whether you're navigating high anxiety, managing the pressures of being an over-achiever, caring for others more than yourself, or embracing your neurodivergent identity, I’m here to help.

When we’re adjusting to new life changes and transitions but find ourselves stuck in old patterns, problems arise. I’m passionate about helping you break free from those patterns, reconnect with your authentic self, and find new ways to live with more intention and ease.

If you find yourself in any of these areas, I’m here to walk with you through this journey of change, growth, and healing.
